Description
This contemporary mixed media painting was inspired by the poem “Mignonne, allons voir si la rose” from Pierre de Ronsard.
This painting is build up on layers that created depth and texture. I used some newspaper to create more texture at the bottom of the rose and natural dried rose leaves from my garden that I painted with gold. Some of the lyrics of the poem are hidden in the painting and you can see a little bit of them in transparency through the layers.
This original artwork will be a great addition to any modern home. It is hand painted with acrylics on a gallery wrapped canvas size 24″ x 24″. The edges are painted, therefore you don’t need to frame it. The painting is varnished and signed in front and back. This unique piece of art has a wire in the back for proper hanging. The painting is sold without a frame.
