Artist Statement
Creativity, craftsmanship, and originality are at the heart of my work. My art reflects a deep commitment to quality, artistic expression, and uniqueness. As a result, I am constantly brainstorming new ideas and learning innovative techniques. In doing so, I strive to bring something fresh and distinctive to my creations. Inspired by the beauty of nature, I focus on flowers, colors, elegance, and the joy they bring. Through this inspiration, my art celebrates these elements in vivid, artistic expressions. Specifically, my chosen mediums include acrylics, fluid acrylics, and mixed media. Additionally, I am currently exploring oil and cold wax painting. To add depth to my work, I often incorporate texture alongside the organic flow of fluid acrylics and water, blending relaxation with creativity. Moreover, some of my work combines both techniques, resulting in a unique visual experience.
My portfolio as a contemporary impressionist includes landscapes, seascapes, florals, and abstract works. While many pieces are painted intuitively, others draw inspiration from my origins, travels, and outdoor adventures. By doing so, I aim to transport viewers to happy and special places. Ultimately, my creations radiate joy through vivid colors and expressive techniques.

Françoise’s journey as an artist
Françoise Lama-Solet is a self taught artist living in Vista, CA. Born in Paris and growing up in the suburbs, she discovered her passion for painting and sewing at a very young age.
After moving to the US in 2000, she turned her sewing skills into a successful fashion business specializing in children’s clothing. In 2012, she expanded into women’s wearable art, designing and creating hand-printed, hand-painted, and hand-dyed textiles.
In December 2018, Françoise reignited her passion for painting and quickly gained recognition as a contemporary impressionist artist, participating in juried art shows starting in 2019, and has earned several awards for her works. She also had her work shown in London during an international exhibition.
While living in Georgia, Françoise has been an active member of the North Gwinnett Arts Association, the Alpha Art Guild and the Johns Creek Art Guild.
Now back in California, Françoise is a current member of the Oceanside Museum of Art and Artist Alliance.
She is the founder of the Community Project: “Let’s Play to Beat Breast Cancer”.
