Friday

The set up for the Duluth Art Festival 2025 took place on Friday and it was our first very hot and humid festival of the season. It was pretty brutal. We also have to dolly everything from our car, whereas in some other events you can park in front of your booth and unload there. I’m very grateful that I had one of my favorite helper for this.

When it’s really hot like that I take my time to save some energy.

As usual, I arrived about 1 1/2 hour early before the beginning of the art festival to finish my set up.

I had a great location, thank you to the organizers! It allowed me to hang some paintings on the back wall of my booth.

For this festival I’m allowed to bring both my wearable art and my original artwork.

Here is a little tour of the inside of my booth. You will see some pool noodles up there ….. this is to avoid a build up of water poodle on the roof top when it rains. Those poodles can create leaks, but also make your tent collapse due to the weight of the water. My tent is pretty sturdy, but I’ve seen some that collapsed because of this.

Saturday

The weather on Saturday was beautiful, though quite hot. The crowd was here. This year, the festival was bigger than the previous years, with more artists and vendors, which is really great.

My bouquet of flowers and painting on paper were a hit on Saturday.

My collectors really enjoy my original paintings on paper. They are smaller budget and great for a small space.

sunday

I arrived 2 hours early because I wanted to get a parking spot close to the festival location as we have to dolly everything to the car. A lot of other people beat me to it!!! hahaha!!!

The morning started off with a storm, so with another artist we went to enjoy some croissant in a little cafe nearby.

The storm stopped right on time of the opening of the festival and left place to a beautiful day!

My first collectors of the day were this very nice couple who absolutely loved my small abstract pieces. She chose two of them to put on her desk.

This lovely couple fell in love with my “Spring Symphony” painting and I’m thrilled because it’s their very first piece of original artwork!!!!!

The Duluth Art Festival 2025 was a great weekend for me, and I love that it’s close to home. My favorite crew came to help me break down. I’m so grateful to everyone who came to the festival and supported my artwork, and to my favorite crew! Thank you to the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces for the smooth organization!
